IBPS SO Preparation tips to crack easily

What is IBPS SO:

Specialist officer (SO) exam are conducted by the IBPS for T Officer, Agriculture Field Officer (AFO), Law Officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari, HR/Personnel Officer, Marketing Officer, Chartered Accountants and Finance Executive, etc. for recruitment into different public and private sector banks.

Eligibility:

Only citizens of India, subject of Nepal and Bhutan, Tibetan Refugees who came to India before January 1962 and people of Indian origin who  originally migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India and have been issued a certificate from the government of India are eligible to sit for the exam.

Age Limit:

A candidate should not have been born earlier than

02-11-1988 and not later than 01-11-1998(both dates inclusive)

For all jobs, the minimum age limit should be 20yrs and maximum 30yrs.

IBPS SO Exam Pattern 2018-2019

The exam will be conducted in 3 phases-

  • Preliminary exam
  • Main exam
  • Interview

*Candidates have to clear all 3 levels

IBPS SO 2018 Preliminary Exam Pattern

The exam will be an objective exam consisting of three parts-

  • Reasoning

Quantitative aptitude and this quantitative aptitude will be replaced by General awareness for Law Officer and Rajbhasa Adhikari

The Mains paper -Professional knowledge questions only

Once the candidate performs well for the above two exams he will be called for interview

Strategy to study and crack the IBPS SO EXAM:

All the exam topics play an important role in getting through the exam so one has to prepare for all. All 4 subjects carry 50 marks each.

One should be well versed with all the subjects to crack the CWE (IBPS common written exam)

Tips for preparation of reasoning part – Firstly one should check IPBS reasoning syllabus and cover all topics one by one of all the Reasoning items. This should be included in one’s study plan.

English Preparation: it is a common paper for all banking and other competitive exams

Tips for english preparation: To strengthen one’s English Grammar one should focus on comprehension, and vocabulary. Increase the four core skills (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking).
